Thomas signed the Ulster Covenant on the 28th of September 1912, Ulster Day.

He was a member of the West Belfast Ulster Volunteer Force.

Thomas joined the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.

He was posted as part of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force on the 24th of May 1915.

Thomas Seeds was a Private in B Company, 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was Killed on the 21st of August 1915 aged 17 years.

A local Newspaper states.

Mrs Seeds of 13 Crosby Street, has received notification that her grandson has been wounded at the Dardanelles, and she will be thankful if any comrades could give some further news of him. He was a member of the West Belfast Regiment U.V.F prior to enlisting he was employed at the Queens Island, and is 17 years of age.

He received the British War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914-1915 Star.

He is Remembered at Helles Memorial, Turkey.
