(Ballymena and Town and Urban District of Ballymena, Antrim) with his mother, father, occupation, Labourer, four sisters, Jane, 24 years, Weaver Line, Mary, 22 years, Weaver Linen, Agnes, 19 years, Flax Spreader, and Matilda, 12 years. Williams occupation at this time is given as Labourer.

The 1911 Ireland Census has William family living at 11 in Ottawa Street Greater Shankill, Belfast with his mother, father, and three sisters, Jane, Agnes and Matilda, all Weavers of Yarn.

William joined the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.

Gordon, Cpl Wm, R. Innis Fus, killed in action on the 8th ult, was a son of Mr David Gordon, 21 Ottawa Street.

He received the British War Medal and Victory Medal.

He is Remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium.
