Charles Crowe, son of Charles and Sarah Crowe, lived with his wife at 66 Orkney Street, Shankill, Belfast

Charles had married Janet Crowe, Nee Fallen, on the 7th February 1906 within Whitehouse Presbyterian Church Carnmoney.

They went on to have two children, their names and dates of births are the following, Thomas Crowe born 19th June 1906 and Elizabeth Fallen Crowe born 9th September 1907. Sadly Charles and Janet lost both these children, with Thomas dying on the 19th December 1907 aged 18 months, and Elizabeth just a week later on the 26th December 1907 aged 3 months and 17 days

The 1911 Ireland Census has Charles living at 45 Geoffrey Street, Shankill, Belfast with his wife Janet, occupation, Yarn Reeler. Charles occupation at this time is given as Machine Man in Shipyard.

Charles signed the Ulster Covenant on the 28th of September 1912, Ulster Day, within Belfast City Hall.

Charles joined the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.

He was posted as part of the British Expeditionary Force to France on the 23rd August 1914.

Charles was a Lance Corporal in 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was Killed In Action on the 21st August 1915 aged 32 years.

Dependant Pension Application Forms show his widow as claimant and that she had remarried, her surname now being Anderson. This document also shows Canada wrote on the back, which may indicate that Janet immigrated.

Charles received the British War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914 Star.

He is Remembered at Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
