This section contains newspaper clippings from the Belfast Telegraph, the Belfast Evening Telegraph, the Belfast News Letter and the Northern Whig, covering the historic signing of Ulster’s Solemn League and Covenant on 28th September 1912, in protest against the Third Home Rule Bill and a Home Rule Parliament in Dublin. Nearly half a million men and women pledged themselves to the Ulster Covenant (Men) and the Declaration (women). As such, Ulster Unionists refer to September 28th 1912 as ‘Ulster Day’.
