Alexander Scott, son of Alexander, stepson of Maggie Scott, lived with his wife Catherine at 20 Dundee Street, Shankill Road, Belfast.

Alex had married Catherine Scott, Nee McQuiston, on the 17th of November 1915.

Alexander joined the Royal Irish Rifles.

He was posted as part of the British Expeditionary Force to France.

Alexander Scott was a Rifleman in 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Rifles when he was Killed In Action on the 6th September 1918 aged 27 years.

A local newspaper states.

SCOTT - Rifleman Alex Scott, R.I.R, killed in action, was the husband of Mrs Scott, 20 Dundee Street, Belfast.

Alexander's Soldiers Effects were left to his wife Catherine.

A Dependant Pension Application Form shows his widow as claimant.

Alexander received the British War Medal and Victory Medal.

He is Remembered at Wulverghem-Lindenhoek Road Military Cemetery, Belgium.
