James joined the Highland Light Infantry.

He was posted on the22nd of June 1916.

James Kennedy McClurg was a Private in 1st/6th Highland Light Infantry when he Died Of Wounds on the 28th August 1918 aged 27

.

His records show us that he was awarded and wore Chevrons on his uniform in recognition of serving overseas on three occasions.

He is Remembered at Bagneux British Cemetery, Gezaincourt, France.
