News has just arrived from the War Office of the death of Rifleman Edward Adams, 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, which occurred so far back as October last in France. Deceased was a reservist, employed at Messrs Gallaher's tobacco factory. Another brother is at the front with the R.A.M.C, and their father is serving with the 3rd Battalion Leinster Regiment. The family's Belfast address is 39 Alton Street

Miss Rose Ann Adams, 24 Bow Street, Belfast, has been advised by the War Office that her brother Edward Adams, 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Rifles (who has been missing since October, 1914), must be regarded as killed. Deceased was in the reserve eighteen months before the war broke out, and when he was recalled to the colours he was employed at Messrs Gallaher's tobacco factory.
