Thomas Robinson, son of Thomas and Mary Robinson, lived with his wife at 61 Sydney Street West, Shankill, Belfast

.

Thomas had married Isabella Robinson, Nee Gilmore, on the 8th August 1913 within Saint Michaels Church Of Ireland Church, Belfast.

They went on to have a daughter, Thomasena Quentin Gilmore born 29th March 1918

.

Thomas signed the Ulster Covenant on the 28th of September 1912, Ulster Day, within Belfast City Hall.

He was also a member of the Orange Order, L.O.L 1902 Rhonehill Temperance.

Thomas joined the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers on the 10th September 1914 in Belfast.

He was posted as part of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force on the 11th July 1915.

Having received an injury to his hand Thomas was taken Prisoner of War at St Quentin on the 21st March 1918 and taken to Limburg Camp.

Thomas was a Private in 4th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he Died of Heart Failure following wounds while A Prisoner Of War within Friedrichsfeld Camp, Germany, on the 19th November 1918.

He would later be exhumed from Meschede Cemetery and reburied within the cemetery below.

Thomas Soldiers Effects were left to his widow.

His Wills, signed and dated the 26th July 1915 and 10th July 1917 state the following, In the event of my death I give the whole of my property and effects to my wife Isabelle Robinson 61 Sydney St West, Off Crumlin Road, Belfast.

Pension Application Forms show his wife as claimant for herself and their child.

His Dependant Pension Application Form shows his wife as claimant for herself and child also.

A newspaper sadly shows that Thomas wife Isabella died on the 3rd March 1922 aged 30 years old, leaving Thomasena without parents, and living with her grandmother Mary Robinson at 63 Crosby Street, Shankill, Belfast

Thomas received the British War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914-1915 Star.
