He lives with his mother in law, Bridget Tweedy, recognised as Head Of House, and her occupation is given as, Tow Store Woman, his four brother in laws, Alexander, 22 years, General Labourer, Maurice, 13 years, Thomas, 8 years, James, 6 years also live within the house.

Official intimation has been received that Rifleman Joseph Stewart, 2nd Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles, died on September 25 of wounds received in France. Deceased, who was 23 years of age, worked at Messrs H Taylor And Sons, prior to being called up on the Reserve. Rifleman Stewart was also a member of the Nelson Temperance Flute Band. He leaves a wife and three young children, who reside at 45 Urney Street, Belfast

Mrs M Stewart, a widow, residing at 59 Canmore Street, Belfast, has just been informed that her son, Private Alfred Stewart, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, who was reported missing in May 1915, was killed on that date. A brother of the deceased soldier, Joseph, a private in the R.I.R, was killed at the battle of Hooge. Mrs Stewart has three other sons, and they are all doing their bit
