William was a Private in 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was Killed In Action on the 22nd May 1915 aged 26 years

Private W, George Kent, 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, whose father, Mr Richard Kent, ex prison warden, resides at 38 Perth Street, Belfast, has been killed in action at the Dardanelles. He was for a number of years a chorister in Derry Cathedral, and joined the army four years ago in the Maiden City, going afterwards with a draft of the Inniskillings to India
