Robert was a Private in 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was Killed In Action on the 30th May 1915 aged 19 years.

Roberts Soldiers Effects were left to his mother Jemima.

His Will, wrote while in Rugby, signed and dated the 3rd February 1915 stated the following, In the event of my death I leave the whole of my property and effects to my mother Sarah Junk, 68 Beresford Street, Belfast.

A Pension Application Form shows his mother as claimant, and as living at 48 Landscape terrace, Belfast at the time of claiming.

A Dependant Pension Application Form shows his mother as claimant, and as now living at the Whitehouse, Cookstown, at the time of claiming.

He is Remembered at Twelve Tree Copse Cemetery, Turkey.
