Thomas was a Private 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he Died Of Wounds on the 19th June 1915 aged 23 years.

Mrs Moreland, 145 Bellevue Street, Belfast, has been notified that her son, Private Thomas Moreland, 1st Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, was killed in action at the Dardanelles on June 19. The deceased was a member of the Ulster Volunteer Force, (West Belfast). Another brother is serving with the Army Cyclist Corps of the Ulster Division
