William was a Private in 2nd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he Died of Wounds on the 22nd July 1915 aged 18 years.

News has been received that Private William McMullan (6162), 2nd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, died on July 22 of wounds received in action at Bethune on the previous day. His parents reside at 37 Glenwood Street, Belfast

His signed Will states the following, In the event of my death I give the whole of my Property and effects to my mother Mrs Susan McMullan No 37 Glenwood St, Off Shankill Rd, Belfast City, Ireland.
