Robert Lyons, son of Alexander and Annie Lyons, lived with his wife and child at 101 Cambria Street, Shankill, Belfast

Robert had married Martha Lyons, Nee McNeilly, on the 18th June 1908 within Christ Church, Church Of Ireland, Church, Belfast. They went on to have a son, Alexander, born on the 24th May 1909.

Robert signed the Ulster Covenant on the 28th of September 1912, Ulster Day, within Belfast City Hall

Robert joined the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.

He was posted as part of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force on the 26th July 1915.

Robert was a Private in 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was Killed In Action on the 21st August 1915 aged 28 years.
