William joined the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.

He was posted as part of the British Expeditionary Force to France on the 23rd August 1914.

William was a Private in 2nd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was Killed In Action on the 21st October 1914 aged 31 years
