George had married Catherine/Kathleen Allman, Nee Edwards, on the 28th of October 1910 within Saint Marys Church, Church Of Ireland, Belfast. His address at the time of the marriage is given as Victoria Barracks, Belfast.

George joined the Cheshire Regiment on the 22nd July 1907 in Chester.

He was appointed Unpaid Lance Corporal on the 11th of August 1909, then Paid on the 27th August 1909.

George was then promoted to Corporal on 6th December 1910.

On the 16th January 1913 George was transferred, Expiration of Period of Service, to the Army Reserves.

George was then mobilized in Chester on the 5th August 1914.

He was posted as part of the British Expeditionary Force to France on 26th August 1914.

George was a Corporal in 1st Battalion Cheshire Regiment when he was Killed In Action in France on the 16th November 1914 aged 25 years, and having served 7 years 118 days

Mrs Allman, 181 Leopold Street, Belfast, has been notified that her husband, Corporal George Allman, 2ts Battalion Cheshire Regiment has been killed in action

Dependant Pension Application Forms show his wife as claimant.

George Service Records and Dependant Pension Application Forms however also show that George he had an illegitimate child to a Nancy Bower on the 11th February 1908 and that she was awarded payments for the child. She lived at Farm Field, Styal, Manchester.

George wife Catherine/Kathleen died on the 15th August 1944 aged 52 years and whilst still living within 181 Leopold Street, Shankill, Belfast..

George received the British War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914 Star.

He is Remembered at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
