Belfast Telegraph 1915 - Sketch entitled 'Pommes-de-Terre-Frites' by F.H. Townsend, reproduced by special permission of Punch magazine. The image depicts an Officer somewhere in France, enqurining where a group of men are rushing off to. The caption reads: 'Officer (somewhere in France) - " I say, Simpson, why are all those men rushing into that place? What are they after?'" Simpson - "They're after Bombardier Fritz, sir". Officer - "Who's Bombardier Fritz? Is he in the battery?" Simpson - "He ain't a man, sir; he's fried potatoes"'.
